There are different ways that they do it. I have the stick. You download there software and then just plug it in your computer.
Cell Phones | 4G Phones | iPhone and Android Phones | Broadband Internet | Mobile Broadband | DSL | Dial-Up | NetZero

No cable. Leaf antenna. 75 channels last time I programmed. Only watch about 20 of them.

I think life would be more expensive without internet. Much higher gas expenses. More stamps. I would have newspaper and magazines subscriptions if I had no internet.

I do have Netflix for a couple months a year. Not enough on there to have it all year. I watch quite a few movies on Youtube.

We will put in a movie or season at night. We rent movies from the library free also and use redbox at times. We were spending close to $100 just for cable. We do not have netflix either.

We have never had internet, not at home or on phones. We will use wifi at mcdonalds or library and sometimes at my parents if needed.

Just wondered if anyone else goes without either or both. If not, do you consider not having them or would it not be possible?
We have internet but no cable/satellite television or home telephone.
I do not watch television and Mr. CSD is not home often so there is no reason to pay for something all of the time that is not used often.
The home telephone was used basically by 2 people and no one else, we did not even give out the home telephone number. Again, no reason to pay $50.00 per month for something that was used so little.
If I turned off the internet it would not be an issue because I can tether the computers to my iPhone and still have good internet access.

I may be able to give up cable one day and have been considering it, but I don't believe I could ever get rid of internet.

With the tricks and advice I learn at forums and such online, and the googling of healthy food and how to save money, I save plenty enough to cover the $35 monthly billing for high speed internet.

The library has a ton of CD's and movies or I watch them online. Just youtube provides us with about half of what we watch (when they aren't going thru their periodic phases of adding in commercials).

I love documentary heaven and top documentaries. You can google them but they have a ton of great movies which are not all documentaries but informative stuff

I wouldn't take cable even if it was free. In fact, my cousin lived here a few months and he said he could hook it up (steal it) for free but I refused because I hate all of those cable commercials. Risking going to jail was unappealing too

In my area you can't they switched to digital and you need to use their box to watch anything. Each tv needs a box and I don't even have an HD box cause it costs more.

This was some years ago so they probably switched to digital here too.

I am old enough to remember cable when it had no commercials

That's why I love watching things online, you can pause and resume when you want and no commercials.
