I am considering buying a couple of yellow twig dogwoods, Cornus sericea 'Silver and Gold' to be exact. It sounds almost perfect for my planter which gets about 1/2 day sun. The yellow twigs are a winter feature, and they would look nice against the redwood color privacy fence behind the planter.
Does anyone have this? My concern is the way it propagates, by stolons. If it is aggressive, I might have a long term maintenance problem. But it looks like a pretty plant with nearly all season interest and I am so tempted.
