Hello,
I am getting my flower plan ready for this spring. I always start planting flowers on memorial day weekend. Due to the downy mildew disease in recent years we have not been able to plant inpatients in our state. Has anyone on this board heard of the progress in the greenhouses this spring concerning the opportunity to plant these great flowers? I would appreciate your comments and suggestions!

UGH. My summer 2012 garden on LI was a nightmare. By mid to late June the impatiens looked like they normally look in October all leggy and de-leafed. Check with a reputable nursery like Hicks, Martin Viette, or with Cornell cooperative Extension and see what they are saying. I have relo'd but personally I would not plant them there or here, unless a reputable garden center (not a box store) gave you the ok.
