Hi everyone,

I've planted my anthurium in water, many people told me it doesn't like "wet feet", and it won't last if I plant it in water, but I've seen people plant it in water and it survived. Mine looks surviving, too, since it has new leaves come out and new flower (but the flower withered before it actually bloomed)

The brown spots appeared on the leaves only, the spathe and spadix seem ok. The brown spots first were small, then it spread to the whole leave. I've shown some pictures here. On the picture, you can also see the new leaves. I don't believe my plant is dying, but I think I need to do something to stop the brown spots.

Also, how can I fertilize it. As you can see the color of my plant is not vivid enough.

Thanks
Lily

Here is a good site to aid you. You either have fertilizer burn or acanthrose black spot disease.

Try using Clearys 336. It really works. There are two types of Clearys, so read up on which one will suit the needs. Good luck.
