I have no clue how to fix my landscaping. This is a basic question, but can you look at the below image and tell me what I need to do, to make my front yard look nice?

Trim the bushes, pull up those out of line small bush like things that are coming up, pull up that bluish ground cover and put down white pebbles to match your house or plant a contrasting color ground cover (white, red, orange). Also get rid of the weeds and grass in your sidewalk.

Taking care not to reveal nor give a clue to your address, can you upload a photo of your front yard that has a wider view? Sgoldie gives some great tips, but forum members can give even more suggestions if we could see a little bit more. For example, is the sidewalk perpendicular to the street or does it run parallel? Landscaping ideas would differ depending on if those bushes directly faced the street or not. As well, what's behind you? More bushes? I'm guessing that the sidewalk leads to your front door which is out of view to the left?

First you have to clean it up and then take a picture that better shows your landscape area.

Trim the bushes, pull the weeds, mow the lawn.

Unless you just want to start from scratch and rip everything out.

Also, it would help to know what direction the house faces? How many hours of direct sun?
