90% sure Cherry. Now figure out if its a Weeping Cherry or regular Cherry or Black Cherry, Purple Sand Cherry, ect, ect. Is there any other Cherry tree around? The blooms and the bark tells the tale

Who says? Cherry trees are fine in SC. They don't like dry climates.

the flowering cherry is probably the most recognized ornamental flowering tree in South Carolina, .

Yes, it could be some other stone fruit - but those prominent lenticels are typical of cherries.

Pretty sure it's not a weeper. There would be a graft mark, and a umbrella shape up top, which I am not seeing.

Yeah, I agree, ruled out weeping. I have a weeping Cherry across the street. Here's how the blooms looked April 30, 2015

What do the leaves look like? Are they red in the summer? Is there fall color? Ask a neighbor if you don't have pics.
You won't get fruit unless you have two local trees and some bees.

I'm not good at making note of such things. Most seem convinced it's Cherry of some sort. I've never seen a cherry tree in real life. Pics were too blurry for me. Blooms seem to stay cupped more than ROS.

It's definately Prunus something, whether it be cherry, plum, or peach.
