We are hosting an August wedding and I want to plant some annuals in my gardens that will be in bloom around second week of August. We are in zone 4. Would love to get some suggestions. Thanks.

Giving us only zone 4 as a reference for August blooms isn't entirely helpful as those zone designations reference average winter low temperatures. This is not helpful for summer flowers.

Perhaps you could be more location specific?

It is now nearly the middle of May. You have only 3 months between now and your desired bloom time. That's a short window of opportunity. If you want flowers in August you pretty much need to plant them ..... tomorrow.
