These full, thick flowering shrubs are along a Greenway in SW Virginia and I would love to know what they are!

Thanks

I think it's a viburnum, similar to this one - Showy Spring Flowering Viburnum luzoncium » Gardening in the Panhandle - or this one - https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/orn...nus-shrubs.htm

But there are other viburnums it could be as well. Viburnum is a large genus, I'm hardly familiar with all of them. I am going by the opposite, rugose leaves and the flower cluster.

Excellent call, I started looking at various Viburnums on line and I believe that is exactly what it is.

Even more ironic, I planted several of these in our yard last year and since they are very s,all and have not flowered yet, they are the exact shrub I admired on the bike trail today. How crazy is that??

Definitely viburnum. There are so many varieties, that it would be hard to tell the exact variety.

It could be either variety since they are both very similar size wise and the flowers look similar as well.

Thanks for all of your responses.
