I have one. It's a few months old and works totally fine. Perfect for my use atleast. I don't have a large yard, only a patio and I use it to water my plants.. wash the patio and fill dog bowls-lol. Its super light and tucks away perfect when I'm done.

If you're using it under little stress (no stretching), perhaps that's the reason everyone is saying the ends pop off?
