There may not be snow on the ground but the grass is asleep. Walking on it will damage the crowns and roots (normally they are protected by the blades but the blades are dormant) and so will the mower. Best to wait until things warm up a bit.
Can you? Sure. Should you? Why bother. One of my favorite things as a kid was for a freezing rain to ice up the grass so I could go outside and break it off in bunches. Loved sending those crystal shards of grass flying.
