Father, by far. My mother always used to say that both me and my sister inherited our father's good looks. My mother is pale with freckles, green eyes and a natural redhead. Both me and my sister have natural brown hair, tan skin and brown eyes (like our father). People thought I was from the Mediterranean region when I was growing up (Spain, Italy etc).
You can tell that me and my sister are related, but we look absolutely nothing like our mother. When I look at old pictures from childhood, with me and my mother next to each other, the differences are remarkable - you sometimes have to wonder whether we're even related.
Strangely enough, as I have gotten older, my skin has gotten a little paler, and my hair has gotten darker, though it varies throughout the year. Maybe I'm spending less time in the sun - my hair was light brown when I was a kid, but it's nearly black now.

My mom's relatives tell me I look like her but I don't see it. I think they just want to see her in me because she died so young. I think I look like my paternal grandmother. Lord knows I'm built like her these days....

From my point of view your mom was the better looking, and I bet your father agrees with me!
It's changed over time. Overall, I suppose I look more like my Mom--I have the same coloring (peachy skin tone and eye color) and similar hair texture. But, as I age I am seeing more of my Dad, and his side of the family. People have told me I look like both. I am probably a fair blend.
From a distance my father .Closer look reveals blue eyes instead of brown eyes and blonde hair instead brown of father.Those go back to my mother's prussian German side as well as greater height.

I didn't mention those things to imply that they are unattractive - but my mother is the type of person who insists that they are ugly, even if you say otherwise. I don't really have any opinion on my mother's physical appearance.
I look more like my Mom. I have her thick hair, brown eyes, tan skin, and her chin. I have been told I look like some of my cousins on my Mom's side. My Mom looks like her Father's side, so I guess I look the most like my maternal Grandfathers side. People have told me I look like a combo between my Mom and Dad though.
Strangers that have seen me with my father have always said that I look like him.
