Middle East in my DNA results (skin, Caucasian, population, Chinese)

Hello,
I received the results of the DNA tests and I have a good portion of Middle East in the results.
Is Middle East considered Asia? I am asking because it is separated from Asia.

I also have Ashkenazi Jews origins which are considered European rather than Middle eastern.

I am asking this to figure if there is more Asia than Europe in my heritage.

Ancestry lists Middle eastern and Asia as two different ethnicity's .

Some Ashkenazi also have small amounts of middle east.

What did you expect to see? Did your DNA results surprise you?

Southern Europeans have Middle Eastern or North African DNA (same thing, by the way)
I have Southern European ancestry, and Middle Eastern or North African shows up as well

I and my father's side have Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry (1/4 and 1/8th) and we've all gotten some ME DNA, with my dad being around 5-7% depending on the company. But, we also had some Southern Euro DNA, too. As far as we know, my great grandfather thought that one of his relatives were Armenian... although he left out the Jewish part totally and had a Polish/German last name, they were supposedly from Romania...but it could've all been made up as far as I know.

Anyways, yours could be from there.

Did you run it through the different Gedmatch calculators? Some of them say West Asian for us instead or some other things...
