I found a post about them on the Hays board at genforum.com.

Hello! I am a descendant of Patrick and Amelia Hays. I found your post searching for more information on them as well. They are the farthest back I have reached so far in building my family tree. Patrick Hays was my ggggggg-grandfather. My great-great-great grandmother was Alonzo Hays. If you have any information beyond Patrick and Amelia, I would love to know it. I would also be happy to share any information I have. I'd be fun to see where you fit on my tree!

I have recently found more info on Patrick Hays wife, Amelia. She was Amelia Carolina Flanagan from Dublin Ireland. Father's name was James Flangon and her Mother's name was Mary ?
