We are a family of 5. I am a electrician, and my wife homeschools our 3 children. We are currently in Virginia Beach..and want out!

Kinda leaning towards East TN area. Don't know really though. We are fairly conservative. Want a small town, outside of a larger town. Looking for a great place to sit on the porch with a big glass of sweet tea and watch the sun go down.

The job is the biggest thing. We want a area that we can stay in for quite awhile. I would take a bit lower pay if the area had enough growth to keep me busy year round.

Sure sounds like fun! I'm not familiar with Tennessee so I can't help you there. But I would suggest doing research on citydata and taking a trip up that way to explore to find what town you most like. Good luck!!

You definitely need to check out Texas! I CANNOT stress this enough. Come. to. Texas. There are jobs, we are economically stable, there are BIG houses that are affordable, great weather, great air quality, and we value family life! Texas is awesome for big families such as yours! I would look into Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. All equally great and economically stable cities.

Amen Ron

I am originally from Idaho..which I dearly love, but they are actually advising people to relocate due to their economy.

I hear N Dakota is booming...if you can find housing..(which you can't). Really want to stay on the East Coast. Would like upstate NY..if the corruption of NYC didn't invade everything there.

Where-O-Where is my paradise?????

There's a little test on the internet called "find your spot." Its a fun test and gives you ideas of where you might like due to your interests and stuff. I took it and mostly all the towns were in a certain area of the country .. that I have never been to. Or even thought of. Well a year later my husband got a job offer in that area. We moved and we love it.
I suggest you take the test. Its fun!
