Ok I keep seeing on some news programs that there is this strap device that you put underneath a heavy item like an entertaiment system and you put the straps around your arms and push your hands on the side of the item and lift with someone on the other side doing the same thing?

What is the name for this and has anyone tried and how do you know if an item is tooo heavy?

I believe they are called moving straps or lifting straps. I've never used them but have had movers use them and they looked pretty handy. I believe one brand is Forearm Forklift.

You know if an item is too heavy when you crack your back.
