I've never done a change of address online. I've always done it at the post office. Pick up the change of address kit and fill out all those cards and send out.

Maybe there is a glitch in the online system?

We do stop mail online, when we go on vacation, and that has always worked flawlessly.

Always got my mail when I changed online. Place was vacant for quite awhile before I moved in. I live in Sun City.

It could also be the area you are moving to or from. Not all post office branches are created equal. Same as UPS or FedEx. Some places we have lived, UPS was better than FedEx and vice versa.

Some post offices were better than others also. Really it is a crap shoot depending on the workers that are on the job or not.

As far I know as well, USPS only forwards first class mail with a change of address.
