I've decided to go with Pack Rat over U Pack. U pack doesn't have climate controlled storage which we need because we have many electronics and wood items that need to be stored for 1-2 months in the summer while the house is being finished. Any experience or advice?

We used them for a cross country move and were very pleased. We stored our things for about 3 months in our new location.

I used them for an 800 mile move and it was an excellent choice. If you hire locals to load it for you it’s a breeze. They knew exactly how to place things. There was no damage other than one tiny scratch on an end table and an indentation on a soft material item. They raise and lower the unit without tilting it. My things were possibly going to be stored but didn’t need to. I wanted climate control just in case. I saved thousands compared to a moving company. Highly recommend.
