I'm 19 years old and I am trying to relocate from Marietta, GA(it's a boring place 15 minutes north of Atlanta). My parents support the choice and think it would be good for me. I am just having a hard time choosing the right place. I've been to the west coast many times and like it a lot, but I'm not sure exactly where to go. A good nightlife is a huge plus.

I'm just asking for some suggestions so if anyone is going to criticize me for asking for advice on the internet about where to live you can keep it to yourself. To everyone else, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Are you moving just for a change of environment? My advice would be to checkout the job and/or educational opportunities in the city you choose. If you have the finances, maybe travel to a few cities where you have friends and/or family and stay a few weeks to see how you like the city, the culture, the "nightlife", job opportunities, etc.

Best of Luck!

What's your budget?
Will you be going to college?
What kind of weather do you prefer?

Elaborate so you can get more reliable input.

You say you want nightlife, and I don't see what's wrong with LA in those terms. San Francisco could also work- but these places are mighty expensive compared to where you're coming from. You might also want to check out San Antonio or Austin.
