Don't live there, but in my opinion the most unique and beautiful of America's cities. I love this place! However everytime I hear about the city it seems like America is ashamed of New Orleans and would not like to see it rebuilt. What do you think. Here are some photos of America's most European city.

Trolley

Mansion

Jackson Square

Superdome

Downtown from the River

Another mansion

Typical New Orleans home

Balcony

French Quarter District

Steamboat

St. Louis Cathedral

N.O. Cemetery- above ground tombs like in France

Swamp

Another Cemetrey

French Quarter

French Quarter District

Really good place to eat- forgot the name

Voodoo- kind of creepy

Alligator

Downtown District

City's Park

Nightlife

I love New Orleans. It's a great place to visit. Sadly with its dysfunction and total corruption, it's an awful place to own a business.

I love New Orleans!!!! I've always had a good time in that city. Its one place I've never mind leaving, though. When its time to go, its time to go! (too much partying!) :-)

I agree, I've enjoyed my visits there, but reached a point where it was time to go. It's a great place to visit, but could never live. Maybe that is just side effects of too much food and booze though.

It's a shame our g'ment lead by an oil tycoon and we are wasting efforts on other parts of the world rather than rebuilding our own backyards. But I'll save that for the political forum.

A "European" city in America means that there is less sprawl, more public square type places, older architecture, more population density within the city. Basically, the built environment of a city. It does not necessairily have to do with the population or culture of a place.
