Which U.S. cities have large oil refineries? I can think of Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, New Orleans suburbs, Beaumont-Port Arthur, Houston, Shreveport, and El Dorado.

Perth Amboy
Carteret

^This area also has lots of chemicals plants (it's the part along the Turnpike that this state gets a bad rep for). It's a 10-12 mile long area known as the Chemical Coast.

Wisconsin isn't as bad as some of the states with coal burning power plants as per the link below.

I don't know what cities, but I found this on the web about the 10 worst refineries in 3 states:

Ranking of Refineries Finds 10 Worst:

Texas (6); Louisiana (3) and Pennsylvania (1)

Nine of 10 Worst Plants Produce Only 15 Percent of Refining Capacity, But a Third of Carcinogenic Emissions.

Coffeyville, Kansas has an oil refinery. However, it was completely flooded in the previous month by extremely heavy rain. The refinery leaked and oil got into people's homes along with the floodwater. The refinery is now closed for awhile.
