DC is an awesome city despite the fact that every thread about it on CD descends into an incomprehensible ghetto mess.

Denver is currently experiencing freakish artic record breaking cold at the moment; makes me wish I could experience this every winter for months on end with absolutely no relief like Milwaukee.

You are right! Houston is a great city! Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Fort Worth are nice too!

I really want to visit ATL and Minneapolis soon enough. I'm especially interested in these two cities for some reason.

DC had lots of pretty things when we were there. My Dad took this trip that night and he heard this guy playing trumpet near the Washington Monument. It sounded like a magical moment.
D.C. has the most undeserved bad reputation as being a dangerous and ghetto city. Seriously, DC currently holds the title of having the strongest job market of any metro area in the country. Cohesively, DC has the highest median incomes of any big city in the nation. Not only that, but DC is the most educated city in the country with about half of its residents possessing at least a Bachelor's degree. I don't see anything dangerous and ghetto about being the richest city in the country with plentiful high paying government jobs and the highest concentration of highly educated people. Murders and violent crimes have been dropping precipitously in DC since the District's heyday as "murder capital" in the early 90's. Just last year, I believe, DC had the least murders its had since the 60's. Also, DC has managed to retain much of its original charm and hasn't completely gentrified into a soulless transplant yuppie paradise like what is happening to San Francisco. DC has always been a chocolate city in recent memory and is still slightly over 50% Black.

Hey morons, stop posting negative things in the positive thread, make your own negative thread or post in one of the thousand+ negative ones in this forum!

I'll speak on NY State.

NYC itself is one of the most unique cities in the world and is amazing. Not only is it exciting and the nightlife is 2nd to none, but the food is some of the best in the country! the same goes for most northeastern big cities!

NY State is gorgeous, suburban, family friendly, has great food also, and is not a far drive from one of the top 5 cities in this world!
