Just curious how people think about racial and diversity matters when choosing a place to live. Personally, I prefer to be in an area where there is at least a fair amount of people of my own race. I just find it to be easier to have cultural similarities with other people of my own race. Sure, I have plenty of friends of other various races, but if I was living in a place that lacked my own race significantly, I couldn't help but feel like a minority, and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with that, from a cultural standpoint. I like to have some diversity, but not to the point where it's lacking in my own race.

What are your thoughts on this and how much does it matter to you? Would you prefer to live in a place that has plenty of people of your own race? Or would you prefer to live in a place where you are more of a minority?

I have friends who are a different race and they say they'd prefer to live in a place that has enough people of their own race.

As far as race goes I don't care. Culture is what matters to me. If you really want me to offend you it will have to be something other than the color of your skin that disturbs me.

I like diverse areas as long as it is WELL-INTEGRATED. There's no point in living in a diverse area where there's lots of racial tensions and people only associate with their own group. If it's the type of diversity where you see all races interacting with each other then I would love to live in that area (assuming that the area meets the rest of my criteria as well).

I enjoy ethnic diversity, but it's not my main concern. People seem to act like having too many white people in a place is a bad thing, when in reality there are so many different ethnicities that are considered "white".

I have lived in both places that have great diversity and places that have almost none. Both types of places can provide a positive experience.

Whatever you are comfortable with if someone wants to live in a place with most of their own race I say let them its their choice. I dont know why some people are so judgemental as if their way of life is how everyone should live.
