I've posted here before, pretty much requesting the same info. But, never really got the answer I was looking for.

I'm looking to leave Florida as soon as possible. To me, everything about Florida is horrible.

I'm just 20, looking for a new start. A place for young adults, low-mid crime, jobs, and 4 seasons. I'm just so stumped on where to move.. I need some help..

Your requirements are pretty restricting.

What kind of jobs are you looking for? When you say 4 seasons, does this include snow? Does the size of the city matter?

Denver, Pittsburgh and New York City are great cities for young people, in areas that have four seasons. San Francisco is a great city for young people, too, but typically doesn't get snow.

Size of the city does not matter. But, I don't want to drive a long way to the city.

That's exactly why I said, "I need help."

The DMV would be an ideal choice if you can get a decent paying entry level job. San Francisco is also great aside from the boring weather. I think Seattle and Boston would also fit the bill pretty well.

Government jobs in general aren't going to cut it.
16 Trillion dollars in debt and counting. Government will have to cut jobs to balance its budget sometime.
I wouldn't rely on anything from the government on getting a job.

I thought of Chicago right away but it may not fit all of your requirements(crime) but I guess it depends on where you choose to live in the city. Columbus OH is pretty hot for young adults, other cities in the region worth mentioning would be Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh if you want to get a little closer to the East coast. Bigger cities that you may like, Denver and Minneapolis.

From someone who lived in DC…those jobs aren't going anywhere despite the outrageous debt problems. Bureaucracy never gets smaller, sadly. That said, job growth in DC isn't nearly what it was earlier in the recovery and is now around 1.5-2% per year. The Bay Area, Houston and Dallas are the fastest-growing at the moment re: jobs.
