I agree with many of the comparisons - but Spokane, Saint Louis, and Berlin have extremely different climates. Berlin is much cloudier and wetter than Spokane, and considerably cooler in summer than Saint Louis. I think Berlin's climate probably aligns somewhat with Cleveland's, but like most of Europe it has fewer extremes than the bulk of the continental US.

While summer is fairly hot in Rome, it's more comparable to Albuquerque than Austin during the June to August period. There is a much lower incidence of strong thunderstorms or persistent triple digit heat than in major Texas cities - Austin after all is at a similar latitude to Cairo in Egypt, far south of anywhere in Europe.

This is not accurate at all. The Black Sea Coast of Europe does not feel sticky or humid in the summer.

Minneapolis is slightly colder than Moscow in January, it is significantly warmer in all the other winter months. They have different patterns of winter. Moscow's deepest cold is a long lasting event that goes for most of the winter. Minneapolis really only gets extreme cold snaps in late December through the end of January, the temperature averages are more like a steep, deep valley with a quick upslope (compared to Moscow).

Slightly of topic but for the Middle East:

Phoenix: Dubai

Las Vegas: Amman, Jordan

Tehran: Reno

San Francisco has a unique climate but is probably closest to Lisbon, but the Inland Bay Area is closer to Tuscany(Wine Country)
