Pacific Northwest particularly around Olympic Peninsula, Oregon Coast , and Vancouver Island in BC Canada, I love the tall cedars and hemlocks and draped moss.
Also the tropical rainforests in Hawaii (banyan trees, eucalyptus, and bamboo) and the colors of Northern New England (Maine/NH/VT) in Autumn. The aspen forests in the Colorado Rockies are pretty cool as well.

in the US? forests on the west coast and hawaii. i never understood the obsession with forests in new england, i find them extremely unpleasant looking - especially in fall. downright disturbing looking, like out of a nightmare or horror movie.
Visually, a lot of trees packed in together pretty much look the same to a person standing within them. When you're walking a narrow trail in a South American jungle, it is amazing how much it resembles walking through a deciduous forest in the northern USA.
