Where would you rather live Colorado or Wyoming? (how much, university)

My fiance is moving to Grand Junction, CO but will be working 7 on and 7 off in the oil industry and making around $80k per year. I am going to join him once i graduate from university.
I have a question though. Where would you rather live in Colorado (Possibly near GJ) or Wyoming?
I am not sure in the differences between the two states.
I hate to see threads with a goose egg. I wish I could tell you why some threads take off and others dont. I thought that I have posted good questions in the past and they didn't do much. Then you'll see something like "what is your height", and you'll get close to fifty people respond. Who knows.I would have to go with Colorado. I loved it the first time I ever went through there. The Rocky mountains are so grand. I have only been through Wyoming a few times, but what I saw of it I liked. I think there both great states, however, I would put Colorado slightly ahead. Actually I think Colorado is one of the best states in America. I would rank it definately top five.
I dunno.... Grand Junction I guess-- GJ has a good location-- very close to the incredible red rocks scenery of Utah and the Colorado Rockies (and only half a day's drive away from Vegas), pretty good, sunny high desert weather, beautiful orchards and vineyards-- but other than that I would much rather live in Denver, not one of your choices.
Colorado I guess. At least you will be near Denver. What's in Wyoming?
Nothing other than some of the most incredible, beautiful, desolate country in the USA, a wealth of coal, oil and gas, and mineral reserves powering the rest of the country, and some of the last real western cowboys.
Laramie or Cheyenne are closer to Denver than Grand Junction is to Denver.

both sound like great areas. if Wyoming is closer to Denver than i guess i would pick Wyoming.
who ever said laramie and cheyenne are closer to grand junction than denver is, you are a liarrr! denver is only 3 and a half hours away from grand junction, cheyenne is about an hour and a half north of denver and laramie is about an hour northwest of cheyenne. salt lake city is actually about 4 and a half hours away from grand junction, look into there. it's building up quite a bit. so i would say look into denver or salt lake city, both are within 5 hours of grand junction.
wyoming is a really nice place to look at but i mean, its legit in the middle of nowhere and when i was on my roadtrip from seattle-denver, we stopped in wyoming several times for gas and everytime we did, there was kids there and they were saying how much they hate it there and we asked what they did for fun, and they all said go to salt lake city or denver.
Yup Laramie/Cheyenne is basically a exclave of Colorado. I'd go with Western Montana over the two, but if I had to pick I'd go with Grand Junction, offers all the basic amenities, your close enough to Moab in Utah, great scenary and camping and then powderhorn for ski/snowboard, vega for fishing and boating.
