I would greatly appreciate if you could provide me with some feedback following this run down of the sort of city I would like to live in:
-highly educated
-low crime
-summers not too hot
-greenery
-good access to art galleries and museums
-scenic/nice areas to hike
-more affordable would be a plus.
-not a party city (lack of nightlife is a plus, not a minus)
-vegetarian, green living oriented
-reliable public transportation is a plus, but not necessary
-relatively clean air/water
I prefer there to be less of an emphasis on sports in the city, as I don't understand their appeal.
School quality is also of little importance, since I don't plan on having kids.

Boulder, Colorado would be a perfect fit. If you find in-town Boulder to be too expensive neighboring Louisville, Lafayette and Niwot (all are within 15 minutes of downtown Boulder) offer a similar feel with much less expensive housing.
