Both of these states fly under the radar nationally. Which of the two do you think is the least thought of?

I lived in West Chester and worked in Delaware. I never saw any reason to think Del was "forgotten" from anyone, even New Yorkers who usually don't acknowledge anything but New York, lol--I think Biden got people to look for DE on a map.
I also lived in Vermont for a few years, and when I moved to Florida, had people there(Fl) ask me where that country was.
Really, Im not kidding. Obviously Vermont gets my vote

I'm stunned that Vermont has any votes, though considering the lack of fundamental knowledge of geography in this country, shouldn't be. With the number of products that come out of Vermont and that are marketed as such, one would expect it to not "fly under the radar"...

Delaware no question. Vermont is a pretty recognizable name and state.

Even though Vermont is less populated, it's not forgotten because it's part of New England. Delaware is probably the most forgotten state in the entire country which is ironic because Delaware was the first state and the country's only state for 4 days.

Vermont has more of a brand identity that it can promote. Delaware, not so much.

Vermont has a national reputation for many reasons:

1. Maple Syrup.
2. Ben & Jerry's.
3. Becoming a really, really left-wing state.
4. Having a lot of hippies (less accurate).
5. Howard Dean was governor.
6. They currently have an independent socialist senator.
7. In the process of implementing single-payer health insurance.

Admittedly, with the exception of maple syrup, none of this stuff would have put the state on the map say in the late 1980s, when it was still a Republican-leaning state with no national brand, and not thought of as being that distinctive from New Hampshire or Maine.

In contrast, I cannot think of a single thing which Delaware is well known for, except for being the location of DuPont and being where (for tax purposes) most U.S. corporations are formally incorporated.

Neither. Only people who are poorly educated "forget" about any state.
