San Antonio Houston, Woodlands, Sugar Land
New Orleans (pre-Katrina... haven't been to it since)
Destin, FL
Least favorites:
Miami
several small towns in LA Dallas
Austin (not bad, just way overrated)
This trips me out when I see people state they love Houston or Dallas but hate the other one. The two have the majority of things in common. Their differences are a lot more subtle than people make them to be.
Its more funny than anything else. I can understand liking one more than the other, but loving one and hating the other, I cant.
Asheville, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, Richmond, Nashville, Athens, Washington DC, Charleston (SC & WV), Boone NC, Wilmington, Key West
unfaves:
Jacksonville (all of them), Orlando, Columbia SC, Knoxville, Johnson City-Bristol-Kingsport, Fayetteville NC (aka Fayettenam), Hampton Roads cities, Myrtle Beach
There's plenty of others I ether haven't been to, or have bit didn't have a strong opinion either way (Savannah, or Daytona Beach as examples). The Deep South - west of Georgia but east of Texas - isn't my favorite part of the world.

Favorites: Charleston - historic, colorful, & charming Atlanta - love the skyline, great nightlife, leafy neighborhoods, a southern city with a real mass transit system Outer Banks, NC - can't single out one town, just some of the most awesome beaches I've ever laid eyes on Wrightsville Beach, NC - I love Carolina Beaches, this one has a nice atmosphere Fort Lauderdale - I like the beaches, canals, boats, shopping Fort Worth, TX - I like the nostalgic cowboy feel, nice downtown (better than Dallas) San Antonio - history, Riverwalk, mighty good food Austin - Skyline, lakes, the hills, nice topography for Texas, and a fun city to hang out and party
Neutral Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC - yeah it's alright, not very exciting but nice enough, the Duke campus is outstanding Richmond, VA - It's good and bad, not a very attractive skyline, urban blight and a lackluster downtown, many blocks of notable architecture and lots of history, definitely not living up to its potential, it could be a great city but its not.
Least Favorites Dallas - Don't care for Dallatude, reminds me too much of LA, downtown is lame for a city of its size, too auto centric, no interesting topography, I do like the skyline though and there are some interesting neighborhoods. Virginia Beach - too sprawly, oceanfront not very attractive to me.
