Technically you can't buy alcohol until 11am on Sundays (although I've been to PLENTY of bars before 11am on a Sunday and they sell. Also for Bears games people buy well before 11am)
You can't buy alcohol before 6am other days of the week
Bars/Restaurants/Retail stores must stop selling alcohol at 4am on Weeknights, and 5am on Saturday nights.
Off sale liquor stores are open 9am-10 pm Monday-Saturday and are closed Sundays.
On sale liquor (bars) can serve M-Sunday but starting at 10 am (I think)
It really sucked being in St. Cloud MN in college and waking up on Super Bowl sunday with 2 beers in the fridge. So, it was either downing a case of 3.2% gas station beer, or driving the 1.5 hrs to Wisconsin. Most Minnesotans don't have a problem with the Sundays closed, it's more or less the 10pm closed time that sucks.
Now I live on the WI border, where I can buy a case of Bud Light for $14.99 in WI or the same case for $20.99 in Minnesota.
New Jersey doesn't allow alcohol to be sold in any other store besides liquor stores. Meaning you can't go to a 7-11 or Shell and get beer because they don't sell any alcohol.
There was like 4 liquor stores in a mile radius where I used to live.
Where I am at in Alabama, you can't sell after 2am. Depending on the county as to whether Sunday sales are legal. Actually depending on the county as to whether its dry or not. But state wide you can't buy a 40.
I'm pretty sure in Maryland, alcohol can only be sold through ABCs. At least that's how it is in Montgomery County... I can't recall seeing beer or wine at any grocery store in Montgomery County.
In S Cal you can buy from 6am - 2am but to drink it you pretty much have to hide in your own house with the blinds shut.
