Yeah the Principle Building (DSM) is the one on the right I believe. That’s definitely one of my Midwest favorites.

Wow, Des Moines looks very impressive from about every angle. Thanks for the picture, Synopsis.

I'm not so sure I like Omaha as much, though.

I've always liked the Traveler's Insurance umbrella in the Des Moines skyline. A local "hip" clothing store has a line of Des Moines themed print t-shirts with kind of an abstract version of that umbrella.

In Omaha's defense, several of there taller buildings aren't located in downtown...which is stupid. I do like DSM's better for what its worth.

I think this is a cool shot of Omaha at night. That main building is a really cool design. It reminds me of something you'd see in Atlanta or Charlotte.

Sorry, Synopsis, I was trying to say that in comparison to size (Des Moines having approximately 500,000 and Omaha having approximately 800,000) Des Moines has a better skyline. I didn't know that Omaha had more tall buildings. I'm curious to know how tall they are and possibly an aerial shot would be nice. Thanks for the pictures, though.

There are several actually...some pretty ugly and not very impressive but could definitely be some infill for the downtown area.

Ya know, i must say, I LOVE One First National Center! Much more than 801 grand. I think its way more elegant and the materials used were much classier. But i still think 801 grands a great building with some nice setbacks. Both buildings do a respectablely amazing part for their skylines, although between DM and Omaha, i would have to go with omaha

Des Moines has perhaps the best looking skyline of any metro under 1 million... the photos I've seen posted here so far don't do it justice.

I do think my Omaha doesn't look too bad though...

Looking to add more soon...

Omaha also has three skylines emerging... two of which are visible 'side by side' in this photo from the bluffs across the river (right 1/3rd of photo is Midtown).

The 3rd skyline rising is on the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus...

Another research tower under construction with more proposed...

Omaha and Des Moines are great skylines. DM, a metro of only 500,000 and that kind of skyline, a tower over 600'. Omaha's is growing, and I really like the views from Green Leahy Park, did I say that right?
