Of those on the list San Diego is by far, hands down the most overrated. The city has no real reason for being there, no culture, no real industry (other than a couple of bases) nothing to offer. All it serves as far as I can see is a reststop for the illegals on their way to more important destinations!

San Diego was my choice too, for the reasons stated by sweetclimber.
