For example, mine is mountains. I can look at one or an entire range for about, oh, 5 minutes, and be satisfied. Yes, they're beautiful, but I would never move somewhere just to be near them, and really have no desire to climb one.

So I'm wondering if anyone else feels similarly about other geographic features/environments? (forest, ocean, beach, canyons, hills, lakes, desert, etc.)

The ocean. It's a big, stinky, humid cesspool. See one of them once to check it off the bucket list and be done with it.

Deserts are basically wastelands.

Do you feel that way about the Pacific too? Stinky nor humid it has never been for me.

I've only experienced the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico and both of them had an odor.

I'd have to say deserts wouldn't hold my interest long enough to live in one. I find them really interesting, great places to visit, but wouldn't want to live there.

MMmm, not at all. They are, imo and in my experience, subtle and magical and the "veils" are thinner and weird and wonderful things can happen if you're open and fortunate.
And high desert is best to me.
Maybe you haven't been to some of the more beautiful deserts.

Hmmm, maybe you need to see the big, blue Pacific. Maybe a drive up hwy 1 along the coast of California would change your mind.
The ocean is teeming with life. Often life (and death) smell.

I think the prairie. And i'd go insane if i had to live on the prairie. Especially when it's windy.
And swamps. I've never been and i never want to go. Swamps freak me out!

Deserts are wastelands, no matter what form.
