I wouldn't call the people of these economically depressed blue collar cities lazy. What a non-sense list.
This article is laughable. Many of these cities listed do not require a college degree to have a job. And honestly some of the hardest workers I've seen don't have a college degree. Some of the other stuff is just as ridiculous... commute times? really? I don't expect a small city to have anywhere near the average commute time of a major city. What does that have to do with being lazy?
I've seen a lot of arbitrary and stupid lists but this one takes the cake.
Also, it's interesting that high unemployment translates to laziness in their eyes. That's a fundamental misunderstanding of the meaning of the unemployment rate. The unemployment rate counts those who don't have a job but are looking. I'd imagine that if they're looking for a job but can't find one, that should be an indictment of the local economy and a lack of jobs, not laziness.
This ranking is a total crock of sh*t and it hurts me that there are people stupid enough to take it seriously.

3, 4 and 5 tend to be correlated with poverty. Assuming someone is lazy because they didn't attain a college degree or has financial constraints is terribly ignorant. I also don't see how a short commute time translates into laziness at all.
