Hey There,

I was wondering which city would be the city to obtain section 8 the fastest and easiest in?

Thanks,

INoScopedJFK

PS. I don't have any military experience. I just need it because I work full time at minimum wage. As a result, I need a rent subsidy due to the need to pay back 6.8k in debt payments.

What's the plan? Move to a new city just to take another minimum wage job?

Hey syrabrian,

I guess so. I don't have any other way to pay back my debt while I work. Also, I am saving up some money to buy a franchise one day. Luckily my buddy owes me 4k so I can pay back my debt relatively fast. basically I need to obtain a way to save up 30-50k for a business. Minimum wage is kinda hard to-do that on alone. So a might have to get some sort of assistance.

Thanks,

syrabian

You ever consider learning a trade and having a better paying job? Or working more than one job? Your first thought is to have your neighbors pay for your housing while you claim you're trying to save money? You'll never save any money working for minimum wage, let alone $50K. How about earning and working more rather than being on the public dole...

If you need more money than you currently make, you have a couple choices:

- make a budget of your expenses. What can be eliminated, or at least shaved down?
- ask your employer if a pay raise is possible. Negotiate.
- look around for a similar job that you think might pay more. Working is selling your labor. Don't sell it for less if you think you can make more.
- develop some skills to build your resume/experience in hopes of finding a better job. The internet is full of sites to help with this.
- Find a part time job you could do for 10 hours a week.

It's so discouraging to see people so eager to get on the dole. I'm not optimistic about the USA.

I'd suggest looking for a city with a relatively low COL where you could likely get a good deal on an apartment and work both FT and PT jobs if possible.
