Which vacation areas are most popular with certain city's residents. This can be anywhere from local beaches to far-flung locales.
For example, New Yorkers go to the Hamltons and the Jersey Shore for the beach, but the Cape is also popular. The Jersey Shore is popular with woolen from Philly and Montreal as well. Which towns belong to which city? The Cape has a similar situation with Boston.
In addition, South Florida, from Miami through Palm beach is filled with Northeasternees. But which areas belong to which city?
The West Coast has similar situations, and East Coast Florida is popular with Midwesterners. Do Detroitsrs go to Naples and Chicagoans to Tampa?
Does this dynamic exist in Europe or Asia with American tourists. Do Bostonians go to Paris and Seattleites to Rome? I know this is a huge generalization, but you guys get what I'm saying.
NYC -> Miami
LA -> Las Vegas
Phoenix -> San Diego
Anchorage -> Honolulu
Houston -> New Orleans
Yes. I never realized Houston to New Orleans was huge. I also think NYC to Charleston is becoming very big. Chicago to Tampa is also huge, I think. Anywhere to Orlando is very big, but Atlantans go a lot.
Lots of people from LI/North Jersey are ALWAYS going to Palm Beach during Spring/Winter Breaks. People in the NY metro in general though seem to love SEFL and places like NOLA and Charleston are becoming more popular
San Antonio to Cancun
Phoenix to Rocky Point, Mexico was popular when I lived years ago.
