Yesterday and today here in NJ, we are having a deep freeze. Yesterday it was only 15 degrees and my car wouldn't start although it was not even battery problem.

I would rather have a snowstorm in our typical winter temperatures rather than have a deep freeze. When it comes to temperature, you cannot control that by shoveling it out. With snow, you can control the snow in your driveway by shoveling it! And the community can control the snow as long as they do a good job plowing the roads! In a deep freeze, I can dress warm, but I have to worry about things being damaged in the cold such as turning the lock on my house door or worrying about a car not functioning. My stomach also felt acidic this morning, because it was only 11 degrees. I'd rather have a snowstorm with typical winter temperatures (and no wind!) where I can control it by shoveling it. Snow causes power outages mainly when there is wind! Also snow allows me to do things like sledding it.

We got both this weekend. Snow started Friday night and continued all day on Saturday. Roughly six inches later the temp had dropped into the negatives overnight and in single digits during the day. What a great time to have to drive across the state for a hockey tournament .

Honestly, neither bother me that much. The snow is pretty and our kids have been begging for it this winter. The cold is tolerable for short amounts. I don't work outside so it doesn't bother me.

Definitely a snowstorm with normal winter temperatures. No contest.

I don't mind either. Ice is more of an issue than snow for me most of the time (except when ice skating). We had some wet snow last month that really messed with everyone here. Half the city sidewalks have 2-3" of thick ice.

I much prefer a snow storm. I have fond memories of walking around just watching the snow fall. When it's snowing hard enough to cover your tracks right behind you, that's about right. I have no fond memories of deep freezes, because it always meant the junk cars I was driving back then would never start. Twin Falls, Idaho in 1978 it got down to -11 F and we had to call a taxi to get to school.

Snow, absolutely snow.

Most of the time it snows it's warmer than 25 anyway. Cold snaps tend to be very dry.

Neither, wouldn't have to worry about it in SoCal. Lol at least if you're not in the mountains. It snowed for four days last week, it was crazy!!

I would rather have frigid sunny days, than snowy cloudy days.
