Which cities feel the most "green" when it comes to number of parks, overall tree canopy area, etc. I really like when the skylines of cities are surrounded by tons of trees and greenery.
The Twin Cities are consistently ranked at the top in terms of quality and quantity of parks. There really isn't a comparable park system in the country.
Philly is interesting in that many neighborhoods (mostly poor, but also some middle class 'hoods in South Philly) are majorly lacking greenery, yet we also have the fantastically huge Fairmount / Wissahickon Park System. Wissahickon is a truly unique park to have for a city of Philly's size, as it is enormous and quite wild.
Not the conventional way most people think of green cities, but it is an interesting city to consider.
Washington DC and neighboring Arlington VA are ranked 3rd and 4th highest for green space accessibility of all major US cities, just behind Minneapolis and St Paul. https://www.fastcompany.com/40576095...or-urban-parks
