Well my mother is from the dominican republic, and she wants to retire in a warm weather place. She wants warm weather, a house made of wood, or something with a similar look, and very quiet. She doesnt want to be bothered and actually wanted to move back to DR but is considering what i had told her. That she can find whats over there in the us so that it is easier for us to visit and in the case of an emergency she can get help.
I'd recommend North Georgia where you'll find a good number of well-priced options of that style of home with privacy/seclusion, yet near a town with services and shopping. Here's an example: https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...60#M5144932482 It's difficult to find wooden homes too far south (in FL for example) due to hurricane codes.
DR is tropical, somewhat hilly (if I recall correctly), and coastal or reasonably close to the ocean. Pico Duarte is over 10k ft high. It is subject to hurricanes and tropical storms.
Of course, Hawaii might work. Maybe parts of Florida Gulf Coast. There might be some other places going west along the Gulf Coast. Moving into interior Texas or southern New Mexico might work but it won't much resemble DR. New Mexico is very dry down to single digit humidity with little rain. Arizona will be oppressively hot except in the mountains. Maybe the lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas would be semi-tropical. A "ranch" implies a large piece of land. If you can get by with a couple acres in a mi!d four-season climate you might be able to find something.
The Gulf Coast area would be a great region, especially in FL, AL, and TX. Maybe even GA, SC or NM. There are some nice rural areas in those states that have climates your mom might like and they're affordable. I wouldn't suggest HI or CA at all, as some have suggested. Very expensive and high taxes.

any clues?
Georgia is like a ranch-style home paradise.
