I got you lol.

Baltimore, MD (not downtown)

Nice Neighborhood - Fells Point. This street is a 3 minute walk to the Harbor to its immediate south.

Average Neighborhood - Hampden. This is what your average neighborhood is going to look like in the city.

Rough Neighborhood - Just north of Lexington. What you've all been waiting for. Yes, it's as bad as it looks.

Didn't you know the "average" Nashville neighborhood has historic victorian homes (literally on the same block as the original location)?

In reality, the significant majority of middle-class housing stock in American cities was built postwar in sprawling subdivisions, especially in cities like Nashville. Anyone posting pictures of pretty historic neighborhoods as "average" for Nashville is definitely misleading.

7% of Nashville housing was built before 1940
12% before 1950
26% before 1960

But sure, a Nashville street with a victorian home is "average". Is it just me, or is there a concerted effort to make Nashville look more "extra" on CD than it actually is?

edit: Also, pretty interesting that the "average" Nashville neighborhood has home prices that are twice the Nashville average...not even accounting for price per square foot.
