I have lived in Midtown Atlanta for the past three years and have LOVED it but feel it is time to move on after I recently lost my job.

I have been to Asheville once on vacation and loved the live music scene. I hear great things about Athens as well and want to know how they compare. If anyone has been to Burlington Vermont - a three way comparison would be great.

I am 25 and looking for a slightly younger city, but still family friendly for when I do want to start a family. I like the idea of being able to walk or bike places. I love a live music scene and more of a "hippy" or "bohemian" vibe. I like funky, friendly, and eccentric.

I am very concerned with the job market and cost of living and would love feedback on those items as well.

Oh ya - Also - I am Buddhist - Does anyone know of any Buddhist temples or communities in these areas.... I am open to the idea of new cities as well.

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

Embolina Love

Asheville has more of the hippy/liberal vibe you are looking for but it is not cheap to live in, athens is a nice town as well i love athens but not as liberal.
