Yup. They don't seem to have one for 2009.

How quickly a list can go out of date. For example, the Charlotte slide says "Bank of America and Wachovia are headquartered here." Half of that sentence is false and the other half is in doubt.

The Texas cities would probably do well on a new list, but there would likely be a shakeup among some of the other cities.

Wachovia is now part of Wells Fargo, which is headquartered in San Francisco. Is Bank of America considering moving back to 555 California St in S.F. too? I would be surprised that both banks made it back to San Francisco somehow.

this would be pretty good for SF... but horrible for Charlotte. I don't think BOA would have had the recent growth though still in SF b/c of NC tax structure, but as that changes... who knows. I think other companies are starting to reconsider moving just for being in cheap states as times aren't as good as they used to be.

That's because the initial post is more than a year old.

Go Texas!

Some may say this list has no credibility because they are jealous or because they have some unfounded hatred of Texas but it just shows how well we are doing as far as the economy (and many other areas as well)

I heard a whisper about that last week at a charity thing in The City. Intriguing.
