We are planning to move from Washington State where termites are generally not a problem to a state with known termite problems. The new place is of concrete construction with termite resistant wood on the ground floor. We will be adding a 2nd story of concrete construction - the problem is we want to bring our designer birch kitchen cabinets and install them on the 2nd floor. We are both environmentally sensitive and cannot take toxic chemicals - although if I have to I can treat the cabinets and let them outgas for several months. So I am looking for some way to protect the cabinets from termites and not make ourselves sick at the same time.
