I am a young Ethiopian immigrant myself from San Jose and I can tell you people here are mostly educated. It is one of the safest cities you can find.

If Florida has a literacy problem amongst the youth it certainly would not be found in Miami or the rest of South Florida for that matter.
Speaking English does not equate intellect but try telling that to a moronic "American" who has language issues.

I do agree that immigrants are industrious but for you to say that Miami isn't that all unique? The wealthiest hispanics reside in Florida and pray tell when have you ever heard of a Cuban gang? They don't exist!

Thanks man. Finally someone is defending SoFla. And yes it is true Miami is home to some of the wealthiest hispanics. So is Broward coutny. And also alot of Latin American headquarters for high-end technology companies are in South Florida, companies such as Microsoft and Apple. Microsoft has its Latin American headquaretrs in Fort Lauderdale and Apple has it's latin american headquarters in Coral Gables.
