Having step foot in both states, I can personally say I have had a positive experience with both of them.

I would agree, but I have always found Texas hospitality to be overwhelming...so they get my vote

Hawaiians are nice if you respect their culture and they're very laid back.
Texans are usually genarally hospitable to everyone.

My vote goes to Texans.

Never been to Texas, but I've met a lot of Texans. I've been to Hawaii. I would say Texans are definitely friendlier. But not equally friendly from everywhere in Texas.
