Yes, Detroit's Greektown has become more and more of a tourist trap over the years. I remember when it was actually a real Greek business center. Once the casino moved in and New Hellas restaurant closed that was really the end of the true Greektown in Detroit in my opinion.
Even though it is a tourist trap, it still has the best Greek food in metro Detroit. Many people don't know that many of the Coney Island restaurants in metro Detroit are owned mostly by Greeks.
