In Kansas City, there's a Mexican restaurant for nearly every neighborhood in the region. There's one street that's almost exclusively lined with Mexican places. There's a wide variety there, as well.
Even in Little Rock, Arkansas, there's some excellent Mexican food to be found.
No, the southwest no longer has the monopoly on Mexican food.
