Help! FROM BRONX TO BURLINGTON. Good idea?
I am 17 years old. I have lived in/near the south bronx area my ENTIRE life. I need to get out of here asap and the nyc area since this place feels like poison to me. Maybe I just need a break from big cities while having some of the things big cities offer such as the culture but needing the nature and lifestyle in touch with nature.
I have to convince or incline my mother to make the move. I want to find out if it would be a really good fit for us and what(if any) sacrifices we would have to make moving to burlington vermont from the Bronx.

Is Burlington immigrant friendly and/or have immigrants first generation? My mom is Romanian and has an accent people would associate with russians. Would she feel uncomfortable/not fit in there?

My mom makes a living being a dentist. She is 60 years old( she had me when she was 45...) She has an office in the apartment building we live in and I think she pays 1200 a month for that office. Our apartment is 1100-1300 a month. She makes anywhere from 50,000-75,000 a year. Im going to college in a year (the University of Oregon)
Would she be able to be a dentist and set herself up as a dentist over there and make that much or more in Burlington, Vermont? What is the cost of living like over there?

I'm a mixed bag. I sort of seem conservative on the outside and seemed like I conformed in some ways and believe in some levels of conformity. However, I also dont believe in other forms of conformity. I like the outdoors and the arts equally as much. I am politically liberal and conservative with certain things but still more left as a whole. I am very religious/spiritual minded and dont like the notion of atheism but i dont like the notion of dogmatic and conservative forms of religion that opress and restrict people from doing whats best for them.
Would I fit in enough or feel alienated, threatening and be pressured to be someone else in the Burlington area?

My mom has no life here in the bronx
all she does is watch the same lame gameshows everyday and goes to the casino nearby and goes to dunkin donuts. she doesnt like her bland life here. Would she have a better more satisfying life over there (but a life not too exhuasting since she's 60 years old)? It seems like she would love burlington

Vermont is EXTREMELY COLD and snowy during the winter. Would it possible to move within the winter months over there? ( are the roads okay enough and are people allowed to move there in the winter?haha)

Any other input from anyone who comments will also be greatly appreacited. I need to see the day I get out of this area I never ever liked
