What would you consider to be a perfect climate? (neighborhood, to live in)

What do you look for when it comes to "climate"? Northeastern...4 seasons, snow, low altitude? Southern...little snow, humid, etc? Western mountain...4 seasons, snow, high altitude? Desert Southwest...etc, etc...
And do you live in that type of climate now?

I like sunny and blue skies but breezy and cool. Rarely above 75 in the summer or below 45 in the winter.

Yes I live in such an area and consider myself very fortunate.

i like cold, snowy climates like the ones in northern maine, northern new hampshire, and vermont.

no, i'm not fortunate enough to live in one of those climates yet.

you know you get a 5th season up there, right? it comes right between winter and spring...it's called "mud season"!

Climate is important to me. I'm very fussy about it.

I hate heat and humidity with a passion that burns deep within my soul and has the red hot intensity of 2,000 burning suns. Anything over 75 and I'm done. (I'm sweet, I melt.) When it's so hot outside it feels like Satan's running naked in the neighborhood, it's just wrong.

I don't mind the cold, though. I've worked outside in -90F! (The old wind chill factor measurement reading.) We have a rule in Minnesota though, "Once it hits -20F, you stop wearing shorts."

When you're cold, you can put on enough clothes, or blankets, to get warm, but when you're hot, you can only take off so much before you get arrested. And even then it doesn't help.

I can prove cold is better than the heat. You never hear of anyone reminiscing about curling up with a good book in front of the air-conditioner.

maybe they collect sap then too. But I was referring to the (extended period of?) time when the snow melts off and turns everything into a sea of mud...mud everwhere! It precedes Spring.

I definitely don't live in the perfect climate. Summers are long and terribly hot and winters are long and bitter cold. Nothing much in between.

I have heard that Oakland, California has the "ideal" climate. But who'd want to live in Oakland?!

Maine = 4 gorgeous seasons.

Northern NH and Vermont qualify as well.

When I visited Maine last summer, I didn't want to go home. The weather was gorgeous! The winter is too cold for me but I look forward to visting Maine again this summer.
