This thread has the words "Closed" all over it. It's best not to get into this topic as tempers will flair and arguements will start.

People are very touchy on this subject. Some love certain areas while others hate them; you can see why it might get a bit heated. Best to move on.

Didn't we already have a thread on this? I think it was called "worst US towns" or something, so you could search for that. Btw, my nomination was Stockton, CA, where I went to college... TOTAL pit.

Default Personally,

I believe any town that you simply can't afford, no matter how nice it may be, will not be very livable if you do not have the income to afford a nice home in the nice area...otherwords, affordable homes only in the bad areas of town, will not be like living in that town, the experience will be TOTALLY different cause even though you live in desirable area of fill in the blank town here, your standard of living will be less than desirable.

I also believe if you can find a few things you can live with, that will not be in your harms way, you can live with less shopping, malls and etc...real happiness is found in a home that you feel safe in, clean evironment and good hearted people will follow suit, just my take on it...I know some rather have the wild nightlife and megamalls and don't care, but for me, life is so much more than that.
